The Forge consists of an offering box and lever, and functions much like the Horadric Cube from Diablo II. The mystical Atronach Forge, speculated by some to have been crafted by the Dwemer themselves, exists to craft some of the rarer items in Skyrim, and can be a great source of Daedra Hearts and much needed Staffs and Scrolls.

Or at least, I didn’t, until I stumbled on a random page on the Elder Scrolls Wiki (I’ve put 150 hours into Skyrim and yet didn’t find this on my own. Underneath the College of Winterhold lurks…something you may not even know exists.
